UConn Home Student Health Services

Student Health Services hosts a weekly Orthopaedics Clinic during the academic year. The clinic is staffed by UConn Health Center orthopaedic sports medicine specialists, as well as orthopaedists with expertise in the treatment of hand and spine problems. These experts are from the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the New England Musculoskeletal Institute.

Students at the Storrs campus may schedule an appointment by calling (860) 486-6829.

Physicians include:

Please note that although initial evaluations will take place at the Storrs campus at Student Health Services, follow up care may take place in Storrs or at one of the New England Musculoskeletal Institute offices in Farmington, Avon, Southington or East Hartford, depending upon complexity.

Charges incurred during the Orthopaedics Clinic will be billed by the UConn Health Center (and/or University Physicians) directly to your health plan. In the event your health plan or healthcare contract does not fully cover services, the patient will be responsible for payment. Examples include co-payments, deductibles, charges considered to be beyond usual, customary, and reasonable or uncovered services (such as cosmetic surgery). If your health plan does not consider UCHC or the New England Musculoskeletal Institute to be a participating provider, out-of-network charges incurred will be the patient's responsibility.
