PeopleSoft Holds
Holds (a.k.a. Negative Service Indicators) may be placed on your PeopleSoft record by various offices, such as Registrar, Bursar, Health Services, and Financial Aid, for a variety of reasons.
Two types of holds are used by Student Health Services: the provisional indicator and the enrollment hold.
A Provisional Indicator is informational only and is placed on the record of every incoming student. It has no impact on enrollment or registration. The Provisional Indicator will be removed once Student Health has processed all health history forms. However, a Provisional Indicator will be converted to an Enrollment Hold one month after the start of classes if Health Services has not received your Student Health History Form. Students will receive at least two e-mails before an Enrollment Hold is set - one before classes begin informing them that their forms were not received or were incomplete, and one after classes begin to inform them that the Hold is about to be placed.
An Enrollment Hold will prevent you from registering for classes. You must immediately contact Student Health Services at (860) 486-4700 to remove the hold.
If you have a negative service indicator on your record, you can learn more about it by logging in to PeopleSoft navigating to the Holds link as follows:
- SA Self Service > Personal Portfolio > Tasks
- Click the Holds link.
- Any holds on your record display.
- Click the Hold Item link for additional details.
- Details about the hold include the reason the hold was placed and instructions for removing the hold.
