Engaging Stakeholders & Building Capacity

This committee focuses on identifying and implementing strategies to increase the engagement of community stakeholders in alcohol and other drug prevention at UConn.


  • Review needs data provided by the AOD Education Office to develop an understanding of community stakeholder needs.
  • Document current campus partners and their level of engagement.
  • Identify opportunities for increasing staff, faculty, and community member engagement in alcohol and other drug prevention initiatives. 
  • Identify opportunities for increasing student engagement in alcohol and other drug prevention initiatives.
  • Develop a three-year plan for building capacity through stakeholder engagement.
  • Provide suggestions for ongoing assessment of stakeholder engagement.
